Pelosi better hope Biden wins so she can hide behind the horrible job she did.
Hours before the polls closed head of the House DNC campaign arm Rep. Cheri Bustos said, “We’re well-positioned to have a good night.”
By the time the sun came up, it was a totally different story.
Before Election Day pollsters had Democrats sweeping House races to give Democrats a supermajority, now Pelosi is barely hanging on to power.
They believed their own hype.
The Democrat expanse into Trump territory evaporated, they failed to pick off a single House Republican running for election and took some big losses across the country.
In Minnesota, Rep. Collin Peterson was easily beaten by the state’s former lieutenant governor. Oklahoma saw Democrat Rep. Kendra Horn defeated by newcomer Republican Stephanie Bice.
In the liberal stronghold of New Mexico, incumbent Democrat Rep. Xochitl Torres Small lost to Republican Yvette Herrell.
Both incumbent Democrats in the Miami-Dade area of Florida were handily beaten by Republicans.
Lauren Boebert who stood up to Beto over gun rights crushed Democrat Diane Bush.
The hits aren’t over yet either, if numbers hold PA 17 incumbent, Democrat Connor Lamb is going to lose to war hero, Republican Sean Parrnell.
The Hill is also reporting Pelosi may lose more seats:
While votes were still being counted Wednesday morning in races around the country, an additional number of Democratic incumbents were trailing or locked in a tight races, including Abby Finkenauer (Iowa), TJ Cox (Calif.), Anthony Brindisi (N.Y.) and Max Rose (N.Y.), a former Army Ranger representing Staten Island.
Democrats believed pollsters thinking another Democrat wave was coming. That wave ended up being a tide of disillusionment that dragged them out to sea.
Pelosi is on the hot seat no matter who wins the Presidency. America has spoken they don’t like Pelosi in charge and took it out on Democrats up for re-election in their districts. Should Biden win, Pelosi is going to have to take it easy on passing crazy legislation and demonizing the Republican Senate or she’ll lose seats.
Should Trump be victorious over all the shenanigans going on and Pelosi continues to play her partisan games 2022 could be even more devastating.
Regardless of who wins the Presidency Democrats need to force Pelosi to step down as speaker she is not good for the country.
