On Thursday, January 28th, Representative Matt Gaetz will hold an event at the Wyoming State Capital to showcase the failures of Representative Cheney, who voted to impeach President Trump, reports Fox News. The report states that “GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida is heading to House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney’s home state of Wyoming on Thursday, where he’ll hold an event outside the state capitol in Cheyenne.”
Liz Cheney’s career in the GOP in Wyoming is coming to an abrupt halt after whipping votes to impeach President Trump for the second time. Rep. Cheney is the third most powerful Republican in the House, and her critics say that her vote to impeach Trump should disqualify her from any leadership position in the party.
Liz Cheney is the daughter of former Vice President to George Bush, Dick Cheney. Many ‘America First’ conservatives see her as part of the establishment that is rotting our party from the inside. Ronald Regan used to speak about the 11th Commandment ‘Thou shall not speak ill of your fellow conservatives,” but we are long past that now.
Liz Cheney is not a fellow conservative. She loves endless wars and globalist economies. Liz Cheney is a conservative the same way that Hunter Biden is reformed.
Rep. Gaetz said he does “not want her job” and that he “unequivocally [is] not seeking a position in House Leadership.” He said, “I know Wyoming can do better” than Cheney, and that’s his purpose in Wyoming. Gaetz said that “by embracing the language and the arguments of the radical left instead of the ‘America First’ movement, Liz Cheney is spitting into the eyes of tens of millions of Americans.”
McCarthy originally stated he wouldn’t support a leadership change because of Liz Cheney’s vote to impeach President Trump but now tells Greta Van Susteren that “look, I support her, but I also have concerns. She took a position as a number three-member in the conference; she never told me ahead of time.”
The criticism that Rep. Cheney didn’t speak to anyone about her decision to vote for impeachment is also one of the driving forces behind the Wyoming GOP’s censure and resign efforts. Many voters complained that her team in Wyoming didn’t explain her reasoning for her vote and now has stopped taking phone calls and emails regarding the vote to impeach the President.
Rep. Cheney took a cheap shot at Rep. Gaetz, saying that “Rep. Gaetz can leave his beauty bag at home. In Wyoming, the men don’t wear makeup.” This is rich coming from the woman that is her father’s daughter, but cheap shots aside Rep. Gaetz is likely to be more popular in Wyoming than Rep. Cheney.
