As more and more Democratic governors grossly overreach their power by using the COVID-19 pandemic as an excuse, many Americans are undoubtedly growing frustrated and concerned at the number of harsh, new restrictions that they’re expected to follow, especially over the upcoming holidays.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom is a prime example of a governor who not only overstepped his power reach with a long list of holiday-specific COVID-19 restrictions and the closing of inside dining across the state, but he also managed to prove himself the most hypocritical governor in the country.
Earlier this week, the governor took heat after it was reported that he joined in with a fairly large-sized group at a lavish and insanely expensive restaurant known as French Laundry, located just north of San Francisco. The dinner was a celebration of longtime adviser Jason Kinney’s 50th birthday.
After he received heavy backlash for his indoor dining experience — not only during the COVID-19 pandemic but also as millions of Americans struggle to stay financially afloat — spokespeople for his group attempted to save face by insisting that the dinner was properly handled according to COVID-19 restrictions.
“The guests and the restaurant followed all applicable state and county public health guidance,” the spokesperson said. “The guests specifically required outdoor seating. And that’s outdoor seating, as confirmed and provided by the restaurant.”
However, according to Fox News, pictures emerged later in the week of the fancy gathering, which clearly showed that the dinner party was most certainly not “indoors” as previously reported.
EXCLUSIVE: We’ve obtained photos of Governor Gavin Newsom at the Napa dinner party he’s in hot water over. The photos call into question just how outdoors the dinner was. A witness who took photos tells us his group was so loud, the sliding doors had to be closed. 10pm on @FOXLA pic.twitter.com/gtOVEwa864

Not only were the dinner guests inside, but they’re clearly not wearing masks and sitting just inches from one another, crowded around a table.
Not surprisingly, Newsom responded to the bombshell proof that he completely avoided his own rules, offering a patronizing, weak apology with a promise to practice what he preaches in the future.
“I should have stood up and … drove back to my house…The spirit of what I’m preaching all the time was contradicted,” Newsom said. “I need to preach and practice, not just preach.”
“I’m doing my best every single day in trying to model better behavior,” he added.
Except, he’s not. He just didn’t think he’d be caught breaking his own rules.
The woman who captured the photos for a local news outlet explained how the situation unfolded at the $350-per-plate restaurant.
“I just happened to look over and realize hey is that Gavin Newsom, who is that? And I did ask one of the waitresses and she confirmed it was, so I was able to take a couple of photos, I was able to document this especially since nobody was wearing a mask. It was a very large group of people shoulder to shoulder, something that he’s always telling us not to do so yeah it was a bit annoying for sure”, the woman told Fox 11.
This is just another example of a political elite who refuses to follow their own ridiculous rules, just like Speaker Nancy Pelosi in the hair salon and Sen. Dianne Feinstein caught walking through the airport without a mask on.
When will these people start being held accountable?
