Joe Biden Officially Places Kamala Harris In Charge Of Border Crisis, Says She’s The Most Qualified

According to the Washington Examiner, President Joe Biden, who faces intense scrutiny over his gross mishandling of the escalating immigration crisis on the southern U.S. border, spoke about the situation today at the White House, where he announced that Vice President Kamala Harris will take a lead role in dealing with the crisis (but it’s just a “challenge,” remember?)

Hilariously, Biden leaned on Harris’ experience in her position as California Attorney General, as if that has much, if any, relevance to handling an immigration crisis that grows worse by the hour.

“This increase has been consequential,” Bided said of the crisis. “I can’t think of nobody who is better qualified than, this a woman who led the second-biggest attorney general’s office in America,” Biden said.

“Has done a great deal … on human rights, and fighting organized crime,” Biden said. “When she speaks, she speaks for me. … Madam Vice President, I gave you a tough job – and you’re smiling.”

When it was Harris’ turn to speak — and remember it was just a few days ago that she laughed off a reporter who asked if she was going to visit the border — she referred to the crisis as a “challenging situation.”

“There’s no question that this is a challenging situation,” Harris said. “While we are clear that people should not come to the border now, we also understand that we will enforce the law.”

Her claim that she’ll “enforce the law” is also hilarious, given that it was also recently reported that DHS, under the direction of the White House, is turning loose detained immigrants onto U.S. soil without even issuing them a court date, knowing quite will that they’ll never be seen again.

Of course, no Biden speech about ongoing issues would be complete without bashing and blaming his predecessor, former President Donald Trump. Biden took a jab at Trump for going against a $700 million federal program designed to help Northern Triangle countries, even though Trump’s record on the border and handling an immigration influx is light years beyond what Biden could ever do.

One of Harris’ first missions is to stem “the flow of irregular migrants to the U.S.,” and she’ll also focus on working with foreign leaders to set up appropriate systems to virtually apply for asylum, which, knowing how the government handles the launch of new websites, should work out really well for them. Not.

What most of the media is too scared to admit that today’s showing at the White House was a clear example of Biden picking someone to throw under the bus as this immigration crisis eventually explodes in our faces. Believe me, that day is coming and it’s sooner than you think.
