Moments ago, President Biden told reporters that his former President Donald Trump left him a “very generous” letter prior to leaving the White House.
Biden said he did not want to discuss the details until he had spoken with Trump directly, who did not attend inauguration, bucking tradition.
“The president wrote a very generous letter,” Biden says referring to Trump. “Because it was private, I won’t talk about it until I talk to him. But it was generous.”
